So you have a special occasion coming up and you want to commemorate it with something classy and personalised?
A Brinley Williams personalised pillar candle could be just what you are looking for. There are plenty of design options to choose from for any occasion – be it weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, christenings – any you can think of. You can even have a photograph added. If Brinley doesn’t have it on his stocks you can submit your own design. You can choose from several different types of candle too.
I have a family wedding coming up so I picked a white pillar candle measuring 20cm by 7cm. I paid a small supplement for rose gold foil lettering. It doesn’t look as pink as the one illustrated on the website, but is still nicely done. The decoration is a transparent sticker on the candle, but it is good quality and you can’t tell it’s stuck on until you look closely. The personalisation is good quality in an elegant type. (NB I have obscured the wedding venue on the third line in the photos to respect the bride and groom’s privacy.)
The candle is wrapped in cellophane and tied with a grey ribbon. It comes well packaged in bubble wrap and padded wrap.
It has health and safety advice on the base which is a little ambiguous in that it says to remove all wrapping and decorations before lighting – does that mean peel off the sticker? I suspect most of these candles will be decorative as a lasting memento rather than set alight, so it’s probably not a major issue.
At £27.10 delivered this does seem a little pricey, other suppliers can provide personalised candles for less – but then they are not as tall or elegant as this one, and they don’t have this extensive range.
The candle takes around 3 days to arrive and you will receive a message when it has been despatched which is good customer service.
The only slight disappointment is that there isn’t a gift box option to improve the presentation when the candle is a gift, but other than that this is an elegant choice to commemorate a special occasion.
